Es una obra que invita a apreciar la riqueza cultural y arqueol\u00f3gica de una regi\u00f3n que muchas veces ha sido subestimada.<\/p><p>Este libro busca llenar un vac\u00edo. En efecto, si bien en Ecuador, la Amazon\u00eda representa la mitad del pa\u00eds, no existe ning\u00fan panorama de los conocimientos sobre su pasado precolom-bino. Los autores que llevan a cabo investigaciones arqueol\u00f3gicas en esta regi\u00f3n desde hace varios a\u00f1os, entregan aqu\u00ed una s\u00edntesis de los estudios realizados.
